Identity and logo for Wadworth’s new brewery, alongside can design and accompanying touchpoints for the first two beers produced by this brewery.
Process
For the name of this new brand, I drew inspiration from Wadworth’s established history and their connection to the town of Devizes, Wiltshire. The name ‘Gatehouse’ was chosen for its connection to the structures of Devizes castle as well as paying homage to the location of Wadworth’s original brewery, located on Northgate Street, Devizes.
The brand identity was developed around this gate icon which influenced the logo, can designs and brand support mechanisms.
Physical prototypes of the can designs were made, and the label designs were adjusted accordingly.
